A Memorandum of Two-Year Cooperation was signed in Athens on October 3, 2019 between the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy and the Laboratory of Bioeconomics and Sustainable Development of the University of Piraeus, which is headed and represented by Ms. Konstantina Kottaridis, Associate Professor
The main purpose of the workshop “Bioeconomics and Sustainable Development” is: to promote and support academic knowledge and synergy with institutions. It looks forward to working with public or private companies, international organizations, multinationals and consulting firms to promote the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and affect all sectors of the economy.
It aims to cover research needs and educational purposes within the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus but, at the same time, aims to be a valid scientific body for the integration of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and Bioeconomics in the business model. At the same time, it promotes a new economic development model for the countries and especially for Greece with the main axes of economic and social prosperity always respecting the ecosystem and the finite possibilities of the planet. In cooperation with European Union bodies, as well as international institutions / organizations / companies, it aims to provide catalytic assistance in matters of policy research and development, the optimal cooperation and coordination between the parties involved, and to promote knowledge as the main economic rate.
