Brief description of the topic: At the heart of this talk is the presentation and examination of the educational programs that take place in the children’s museums of our country, providing visitors with a “learning adventure”, breaking the traditional diptych of the classical museum and sterile learning. Specifically, the cultural activities and educational activities implemented at the Museum of Greek Children’s Art and the Boston Children’s Museum will be presented as case studies. In the modern, globalized society of over-information, the role of the children’s museum is being redefined and overturns the logic of prohibition, “do not touch” and the sterile environment. motivating and motivating children, parents, teachers to stimulate their emotional, social relationship and enjoyment of experiential action. Through methods of experiential approach, the participant learns through museum objects, interacts with them, encounters opportunities for experimentation and activates his senses in a familiar environment. Another innovation is the implementation of Art Therapy programs within the museum (Art Therapy), with the aim of releasing emotions that complicate everyday life. The presentation of the museum-pedagogical activities of the Boston Museum will be a trigger for critical thinking and encouragement, to give birth to even more moments of creativity, keeping “alive” and “open” the museums of our country as a natural place for children.
